Looking at the agricoltural field on the italian territory, i found a research that has the purpose to develop innovative ideas and services to vitalize the productive agricultural areas in the vicinity of large towns and cities around the short supply chain and recreational activities.
In particular, the study area of this research was the agricultural park South of Milan, the largest suburban agricultural area that borders the city: on this land planners are imagining new scenarios for a sustainable relation between town and country.

Simona, it is really great that you turned back, and started looking at the rural landscapes of our home country. As I already mentioned, you should have Luigi Ghirri and Gianni Celati as your first reference: what the two - one writer and photographer the other - were pursuing can be described as an "affective survey" of the territories following river Po. Two books collect the poetic outcomes of these exlorations : "Viaggio in Italia" and the even more fascinating "Il profilo delle nuvole" (cannot be found in Norway, but many mages and reviews are published on the web).
ReplyDeleteAlso, you can have a look at this project called "Progetto Osserva.Te.R.". They have published a number of extremely intersting and beautiful surveys, involving geographers and agronomists, as well as writers and photographers: http://www.urbimlombardia.it/osservater.htm. And it is financed by Regione Lombardia, can you imagine that?!
