Horizontal Landscape Corridor

In Norway as a whole, the area of agricultural land in use is about 10 360 km2, or 3 percent of the total area of the country. In 2005/2006, the amounts of fertilizer used on agricultural land totalled about 104 100 tonnes of nitrogen and about 12 400 tonnes of phosphorus. These nutrients are an essential basis for increased agricultural production, but if they are lost from the nutrient cycle, they may cause pollution by eutrophication of lakes, rivers and coastal waters.
Jaeren was a land of lakes 100 years ago with high biological diversity, but today these lakes have disappeared.
The big change happened around 1960, the lakes were affected by sewage, fertilizers from agriculture and drainage. The result was a lack of oxygen in the lakes, the plant diversity changed and so did the animal species.
I would like use landscape method reduce the agricultural pollution.
Norway's terrain is long and narrow from north to south. So the coast line is vertical landscape corridor in Norway. I want to add new landscape structure in Jaeren by use water systems.
The new structure is: Horizontal Landscape Corridor.

Analysis of three types of block

I did some analysis about Jaeren that the three different types of land: A. +. B. I through found some information about these main land, try to find my themes.
A. The characteristic is: linear features based corridor: channels、rivers、beaches、wetland. The main problem is the sea level rise impact the corridor. For example: beaches are slowly eaten by tides and seastorms、river and channels have been over exploited for agriculture, and are now seriously polluted.
The theme: leisure tourism and corridor protection.
B. The characteristic is: land use and development. How to balance the residenrial and land use and develpment. Other factors are sea-level rise、climate change、changes in agricultural production.
The theme: dynamic landscape planning and sustainable design
+. Oil resources decline, in the post-oil industry background, replacement of industrial land and ecological restoration and protection、develpment strategy.
The theme: industrial land、landscape protection and restoration of the design.

Residential Design

This is the Residential Design I made the fourth year of my bachelor degree in Xi'an.
Housing---is one of important aspect in China. Different people have different needs for housing.
How to design a house as far as possible to meet people's need, this is the challenge to me. Unit design is divided into large, medium and small three kinds of forms, 7 different kinds of units.
And in terminal cell design the "young and old households",to meet the needs of three generations living together.

Jaeren survey
On November 11th-12th we have been in Jaeren for a preliminary survey of the region. We have been following an unreliable italian GPS and this beautiful map. The result: many impressions, and a slide show, that we invite you to see, here.
