This project is rather a process of gathering various voices than a solid design. I would say this is another fun approach I have learnt during this studio. At the very first beginning, I was so deeply confirmed that I would still like to do cultural thing on Jæren. I am not saying my mind has been changed. Instead, a new way of analyzing what kind of structure Jæren has leads me to a more convincing method to do the research. In this midcritic presentation, I am going to reveal my conversation with those interesting people from Jæren and through which I try to explain a sort of ideal image on culture, on landscape in the post fossil oil era.
Hey Jin
ReplyDeleteOn Friday I was in I dinner with Eivind Brydøy who has been the manager for Kaisers Orchestra (Stavanger of origin) since their start.
The leader of Kaisers – Jan Ove something – is working on a trilogy of new records. When he writes for the band he works with the author Tore Renberg, also based in Stavanger.
I told Eyvind about our studio and your interviewing method. He said you can contact him if you will interview Jan ove and Tore Renberg. No problem he said.
I am not totally clear of how you will put together your project for the final crit, but this is then a possibility for you – to add to your voices of Jæren possibly finding more openings and passages to the appearing Stavanger and Jæren. But as you say above in your midcritic: "I am going to reveal my conversation ..... etc" sounds good.
Here is the connections to Eivind Brydøy, a nice guy with plenty of integrity. You can call him any time, and refer to me – he is waiting for your approach:
