"Badgir": The wind catcher

"The wind-catcher has been used in Iran since early times. It is one of the special masterpieces of ancient Iran's architecture and it is also a sign of predecessors' intelligence in agreement with the climate. In Iran, these wind-catchers are made in two different types of areas: The hot and humid areas in the south of country (such as Bandar-Lenghe) and the hot and dry areas of central plateau (such as Yazd)."

  1. Dear Bita
    Interesting blogpost, and beautifull.
    When you put so long texts on the blog, could you do it this way: Put a small introtext on the blog, with the images, and then make the whole text as a pdf, as we do. Alice can show you how to do it. In my text on Imbedded Information (coming soon), the next theme, I have written your Agricultural Parks into it in this way:
    "The peak of exploitation is now the name of the game in Stavanger, Jæren and in its seascape.
    Our studio is searching for a new position, a position of exploration. When Bita said she would explore more the possibility of Agricultural Parks, fields of a new kind of attitude towards farming, I must say that can be a very interesting exploration in our studio, introducing a kind of resistance to the aspects of organized over-exploitation.

Two texts on Imbedded Information will be posted on the blog to morrow.
